Types of Emergencies

There are various types of emergencies, these are just a few examples:

Foreign Object – Do not try to remove the object with tweezers and resist the urge to rub your eye.

You can use a warm cloth to clean and cover your eye while you get medical care.

Cuts or Scratches  – Seek medical attention immediately if you have a scratch on, or near, your eye. Apply a cold compress to help with the pain and inflammation.

Chemical Splashes  -If any sort of chemical makes contact with your eye, you need to flush it out immediately. Using an eyewash station, a sink, or even a shower, put the affected eye under a stream of cool water.

It is important to continue to rinse your eye for at least 15 minutes and get immediate medical attention.
