Sometimes your eyes are in need of an emergency eye exam. Your eyes are intricate, delicate, and vulnerable. An eye-related incident could be life-changing catastrophically.
What constitutes an emergency?
If you are experiencing any of these symptoms, contact us right away. It is better to know if it is nothing before it becomes something.
There are various types of emergencies, these are just a few examples:
Foreign Object – Do not try to remove the object with tweezers and resist the urge to rub your eye.
You can use a warm cloth to clean and cover your eye while you get medical care.
Cuts or Scratches – Seek medical attention immediately if you have a scratch on, or near, your eye. Apply a cold compress to help with the pain and inflammation.
Chemical Splashes -If any sort of chemical makes contact with your eye, you need to flush it out immediately. Using an eyewash station, a sink, or even a shower, put the affected eye under a stream of cool water.
It is important to continue to rinse your eye for at least 15 minutes and get immediate medical attention.
We love our patients and look forward to seeing each of you at our new clinic soon.
